Addressing Deferred Maintenance
While much of this campaign focuses on creating beautiful, functional spaces for our community, an equally important priority is addressing the significant deferred maintenance on our campus.
Our building is approximately 30–40 years old, and many essential systems are reaching the end of their useful lives. These include:
- Roofing repairs and replacement
- Air conditioning and HVAC systems
- Parking lot paving and other exterior infrastructure
- Major kitchen equipment, including commercial dishwashers and other large appliances
- Other critical building systems that require ongoing replacement and upgrades
These projects are not always visible, but they are essential to keeping our campus safe, functional, and financially responsible for years to come.
For this reason, we have increased our overall fundraising goal. This allows us not only to complete the exciting renovation projects everyone will see, but also to tackle the essential maintenance that has been deferred over many years. Our goal is to address these needs proactively, rather than waiting until emergency repairs become even more costly.
By investing now, we are protecting our community's home and ensuring that future generations inherit a campus that is both beautiful and well maintained.
How does a Match Campaign work?
Running an operation like Chabad of YourTown’s requires a major investment of time, energy, and capital. While our Rabbi and Rebbetzin work tirelessly to ensure that no Jew is left behind, the day-to-day expenses of operating a Chabad center can be daunting. Rather than charging membership fees or exorbitant event prices, which could alienate some people, we rely on the generosity of the community that we serve.
